Digging for Treasure!

My hubby likes to go metal detecting but seems he never gets the chance.  Today was a beautiful warm sunny day, we went out digging for about 40 minutes. He found his first arrowhead, I found a tooth! Here is a picture of everything we dug up lots of pieces of glass and nails. We found an interesting clay item with a date on it.... all I can guess is that its a cap to an old clay bottle, we think from 1860's?

Hi Barb,
What great finds! What kind of metal detector did he use? Just curious. I used to work at Whites Electronics and that's what we made.
Thanks for sharing,
Sonya

Fascinating! The bottle topper was the first thing I noticed because of the pattern. The arrow head is also amazing. I bought a metal detector for my hubby a few years back. We need to take it out for a spin before the snow flies.

Thank you for commenting on my blog post about Art and Soul. How nice to jump over to your blog and see all the wonderful digs. We used to do this often when I was in my early 20s - what fun it was too.

Many blessings,
Angela
